    Word of advice

I just purchased from EBay 2 '05 Topps Finest Box Toppers (those Payton Manning Finest moments #'d inserts). Of course, I was looking for that 1/1 auto that's lurking in one of those packs. I was under the impression that these box toppers are encased, but to my surprise when I received them they are not! Rather, it's single card wrapped in very thin foil wrapper. No decoy card. It's very easy to search these, all it takes is one thumb sweep across the card to feel if there is "sticker" auto on the card. So I suggest to everyone, unless they are just collecting those P.M's inserts, stay away from EBay auctions on these (they get bid up to a very high price BTW). Most likely, packs have already been felt. Needless to say, I purchased 2 and wont be purchasing anymore from EBay. You have much better chance to hit an auto if you were to purchase a sealed box. Just my .02

I think you have to assume that a lot of the packs sold on ebay have been searched in some way or another.

Thats 100% positive, but this box topper is even easier then a pack that contains 4 cards + decoy. This box topper had no decoys, and its single card in very thin foil wrapper. Much easier to search.

    Yao, glad I could help.

But to clarify: the Manning is still possibly out there? Didnt know some were autographed and so fourth. Have read here where Finest has gotten slammed quite a bit. Is this product really THAT bad?

Me too. Thanks. I was wondering why people did not open their box topper packs.

I belive Manning 1/1 is still out there. I havent seen one pop on Ebay yet.
If I were chasing this card, I'd go rather with wax boxes then individual sales of these box toppers.
I belive Finest got slammed because of so many parallels. Other then that I really think it's nice product. I dont like the way cards bend but thats just because of the material (some sort of a plastic in it).

There is a one of one(1/1) auto for each of Mannings 48(??) Td's he threw....isnt there??

My opinion on Finest its the worst product this year next to Pristine and foundations.

I've seen a ton of the manning 1/1 autos on eBay over the last 4-5 months (maybe 15 or so). There's 49 out there total and you've got to think a lot go into people's PCs. Either way, like others have said, it's probably in your best interest not to buy loose packs on eBay.
