Todd Akin blames loss on 3rd party candidate
http://www.politico.com/news/stories...516.html?hp=r1
Akin spoke about his failed bid with Mike Huckabee, the Republican’s highest-profile defender, on the former Arkansas governor’s radio show. Huckabee introduced Akin to his listeners by saying there was “maybe no greater disappointment personally” on Tuesday than Akin’s loss. Akin called Tuesday a “very, very hard, hard day and hard night.”
“I always told people, ‘I don’t trust those polls,’ and the polls said it was supposedly very close or within a few points, and we finished 12 points down, which is a real skunking,” Akin said.
Akin said his surprisingly poor performance could be attributed to the third party candidate in the race. He also added later that he felt he was running against both McCaskill and the Republican Party, and “I don’t know which one was worse.”
Not surprisingly if you add up Akin's total plus the 3rd party's total they still don't match what McCaskill had.Selling all my cards here updated as of May------------> Hidden Content

Perfect example of the Republican cognitive dissonance. It wasn't what Akin said or believed. It was someone else. I was hoping to vote for someone else then McCaskill in Missouri. She has her own issues. Instead of placing a moderate slightly right candidate, the Republicans picked this dude.
Romney won Missouri by 4%. Todd Akin did this to himself. No one else to blame.
I hope Republicans look at this race closely. Missouri leans Conservative. Romney won the state and the "conservative" candidate for Senate wasn't even close.Last edited by drtom2005; 11-09-2012 at 09:44 PM.

It's the way it is. Even on these boards the liberals are outright telling the conservatives why Obama won and the conservatives still refuse to believe it. It has nothing to do with the majority saying "no thanks" to a neo-con, neo-christian government and everything to do with "minorities who want things". Even when it's spelled out right in front of them in black and white they still don't believe it. It's the strongest case of mass delusion I've ever seen.
