    Thumbs up Positive Panini Replacement

You always here about replacements gone wrong or bad customer service so I thought it would be nice to share a good customer service story.

Last Tuesday I opened a box of Contenders and pulled a Viktor Stalberg NHL Ink auto with a corner so horrible I was shocked (completely rounded not even a corner anymore). I opened a replacement request online and mailed the card out to panini as requested and included this note "If Exchange for the same card isn't possible I collect Red Wings and Flyers"

Panini received my package on 11/19 and today on 11/20 I got an email from Panini saying the Stalberg was being replaced with a Calder Contenders auto of Matt Read /800 and was even shipped out today as well.

Couple points of interest I'm very pleased about:
.Panini listened to my note about what teams I collect
.The replacement books at double the original card (not that bv is important or relevant or anything, just saying)
.But the absolute best part....1 day turn around from them receiving my package and mailing out a replacement (I honestly thought it would take months).

If you read this thanks, I know its not the best story but I thought it was good on Panini for how quickly this was taken care of.

Great job Panini. They replaced a damaged Titanium Game Gear Dual Patch /15 of 2 Sens (Karlsson & Foglino sick patches) with a Crown Royale Coat of Arms Patch Nikolai Kulemin /25 (2clr patch). While SV/BV isn't as high as I would have liked I'm not complaining because it was the player I wanted, it was low #'d, it was a patch, and it was a card that I actually needed for my Kulemin PC.

I have had mixed results with Panini. Once I bought a box of Crown Royale and every single card in it that was not die cut had mauled corners. Mailed it in, had a couple phone conversations, hard signed autos couldnt be replaced, so they sent me a new box, All is right in the world (both boxes were terrible though :( ).

A couple months ago, requested a replacement for a Fabric of the Game die cut jersey numbers and autograph of Nicklas Kronwall /25 after 6 months of waiting. I was informed I would be sent the same Matt Read auto /800 that MattDMC was going to get. This felt like another one of those book values =/= card values imo. I was not too happy trading a auto relic /25 of an average player for an auto 32 times more common of a mid range rookie. I had to call several reps at Panini about the issue, got run around a little bit and finally found someone who would just put me back on the wait list for the Kronwall.

Most recently, I opened the Patrick Roy 1/1 base auto out of Prime. The edges and corners were pretty roughed up and after a while of hoing and humming I decided to send it in. It obviously couldn't be replaced 1 for 1. I was offered a couple options for replacement A Patrick Roy 1/1 auto from Limited or (because I was a Coyotes fan) and Shane Doan 1/1 auto from Limited (where do they get all these 1/1 autos, hmm). I was not really happy trading the Prime 1/1, a hard sign, for the Limited 1/1 a sticker, as well as the huge price difference in the product. I went up the ladder and talked to a CS manager who at first was pretty dismissive, telling me I was lucky they found anything because "Typically if we can not replace it we will just send it back to you" but after I mentioned having better treatment from the CS department at 'another trading card company' he went off to 'check on the card' and when he came back offered to send the card back along with a compensatory box of Prime. I was happy about that.
