    Dutch auctions on ebay

Anyone ever buy any dutch autions on ebay? I'm always tempted to becuase they always show you amazing cards they're supposedly giving out, but then I think about it and I'm like nope I'll buy it and get nothing. So yea if anyones ever bought any could you tell me if you got anything out of them.

I get moneys worth with this seller. Also got a Steve Carlton backless card. Not sure how rare it is.

I only ordered 2 or 3 lots at a time though. Obviously I can see where you may not get moneys worth though.

What I can't stand about these auctions is the high dollar cards they show and no one will ever get them. But logically thinking, would you give away a Vintage Mantle or a Jordan RC in a 2.00 lot, when they can sell it alone and get ten fold more? It's just irritating. I apologize, I needed to vent.

Oh I agree. I never expect to get much value a lot of the time they are just garbage cards.

all those pics you see of cards they supposedly have are simply nicked pics from someone else. All you have to do is google any of those cards, nick the pic and save it, then upload it to eBay. People are now putting copyrights on their pics in order to stop this. Then again, who is to say they actually had that card to begin with?

I did purchase some dutch lots a few years ago. It was an awesome buy too. The seller bought out a collectible store of some kind and just put together 100 card lots for $5.99. I got some awesome cards out of it. The lot had 5 1998 Edge Advantage John Elway Livin Large Holofoil(bv=$120.00 ea.). Also had 10 Priest Holmes Holofoil RC`s. I actually went back to his auction and purchased the rest of his lots. He only had 5 left he said, so I paid a little extra for them if he ended the auction for me. I don`t think he realized what he had.
