I have said this many times on this very site. The NHL cannot survive with a 30 team league. Today Forbes Financial said that fiscally, the only way the NHL can survive Long Term is to have a maximum 20 team League.

Ken Dryden and Bobby Orr both said this following expansion in 1992 when the Sharks were added. Dryden warned that by continual expansion, it would be the Death Knell for the NHL someday in the future. Well, today that day has arrived.
