Autograph Stickers
I tried a search and did not find a thread on this, so here is my question to you card collecting experts. (I am but a humble noob) :)
When stars sign the stickers, do they get the actual cards with the sticker already on the card, or do they get presented a sheet of these stickers, and they sign the stickers on the sheet, and then later in the factory they get placed on the card?
I hope I worded the question properly.

Yeah, they get a sheet of the stickers, sign them and the card company puts them on the card.
Some people like the stickers better, but I would rather the actuall card to be signed.

the only advantage that i can think of for stickers is that, the players dont know how to hoold cards and they may get damaged when the player signs them or when they are being shipped to/from the player

regardless of wether the card company sends the players stickers or actual cards, you know some of these guys aren`t going to sit around for a few hours signing a few hundred auto`s. I always wonder just how many of these cards are signed by their girlfriends, brothers, sisters, moms??

OK, this makes sense, and is what I figured, because after looking at all my sticker autos, not one has made a mark past the sticker. The auto always stays inside the boundary of the sticker. And I can tell where sometimes part of the auto(s) is missing. (must be left on that sheet).
rayny1: Please don't give me logical reasons why they wouldn't sign the stickers/cards. I would like to continue to live in my fantasy world, where I believe the cards they say are signed by a star, aren't really being signed by their aunt petunia. :)

I really hate the sticker cards, especially when the cut-out of the card doesn't allow for the entire autograph to be seen.

i hate the stickers
i have seen cards of like yao ming with a vince carter auto sticker
the system does not work well

Good to know that I am not the only one that is not satisfied with the look or the quality of the sticker autographs. I do not have any views considering their authenticity. I just do not like any sticker applied to my cards including those COA stickers.

actually... the companies have agents who take the sheets of stickers to the athlete and are supposed to watch the player sign the sheets. I dont know if that actually happens but it is how it is supposed to work.
