    Question Question?

I'm sure this has been asked about 1,000,000 times, but...

I used to collect baseball cards when I was younger, not because I was particularly interested in card collecting but just because everyone else was doing it.

I probably accumulated 25,000 (very rough estimate) baseball cards between 1988-1992.

I'm 25 years old, I have a crap load baseball cards sitting in a box collecting dust, and I'm thinking about selling them.

I don't have the time to sort through them, I know I'd make more money if I did but I feel like it'd take forever-I know I'm lazy, lol.

Any suggestions? Take them to a hobby shop, sell the entire collection on eBay?

Chances are you aren't going to get too much for cards from 1988-1992. Those years were way over produced and they are everywhere & they just aren't worth that much. There are a few exceptions of course but for the most part, you're gonna be lucky to get anything.

I know that it would be a very big Job , but i would suggest going through them and pulling all the big name players , if you were to sell them on Ebay it would be better to list some of the Cards that the Potential Buyer might receive(Rather than just listing a big lot of Basketball cards from the years you have)

Or you have the second choice of giving them to your local Childrens Hospital , i know the kids love it and so does the staff when i bring in a box of cards that i have put into team bag's that they give to all the sick Children in the Hospital.

    I hope this helps.

Sorry. I don't know what you have but that time frame is just when some of the crappiest cards were produced.

I'd love to donate them but I really could use the $$$ myself. That sounds really selfish doesn't it.

Any suggestions as to what players I should really pay attention to, say 1988-1993. Thanks.

    Umm, not NBA, MLB...lol.

I have mostly baseball cards with a smattering of football for good measure.

Welcome to the club... I myself have thousands of these late 80's early 90's baseball cards, and with the exception of some certain rookies there is really nothing of value. Your best bet is to donate them to someone.
