Just had Canada Post Deliver a card I sold to the wrong address.
Card in question: Connor McDavid Young Guns Canvas BGS 9.5
Serial Number: 0009413490
I refunded the buyer and was given the $100 back from Canada Post for their screw up. I did not purchase additional insurance so I'm out about $120 CAD. Whomever received the card decided to keep it rather than forwarding it to the destination or returning it to sender. If anyone see's this please let me know. Thanks!

Does anyone know if eBay seller protection works for sellers in Canada? Do you need tracking with signature confirmation, or just regular tracking?

I don't think a signature is required for eBay Protection, just that the tracking number shows it was delivered to the proper address. Perhaps for more expensive purchases you would need signature confirmation but I cannot confirm that. A buyer once claimed that a package I sent him containing /50 Signature card (or maybe /99) of Gordie Howe was opened and then re-sealed and the card was missing. PayPal/eBay refunded the buyer at their own expense. Whether they in turn received that money from Canada Post I have no idea, but the tracking said it was delivered so I did not have to pay.
Another buyer in Florida did not receive a package from me containing a plethora or 10-11 Artifacts cards. Tracking number did not show it was delivered. Since I printed a label through eBay, Canada Post did not refund me for the lost package (because apparently that method of shipping did not include $100 insurance like I thought it did) and I had to refund the buyer $120+. Live and learn.

eBay User: leafsfaninmtl_2 http://www.ebay.ca/usr/leafsfaninmtl...72.m2749.l2754
Ordered three 16-17 YG from him...paid 4.00 CDN in shipping and expected bubble mailer (I guess I should not have assumed). Cards arrived in PWE without tape on top loaders or penny sleeves for the cards... his excuse was he tought he taped them and that he was waiting for mailers and did not come in time... I honestly don't understand this... asked for refund on shipping or partial because this is not what I paid for... not sure if I am going to get it. The cards are OK, the Vessey is a bit scratched on the surface (hard to picture) because of the lack of sleeve...

BEWARE

Basically won a Jack Eichel Limited Future Watch Auction for approx $70. Moments after I win he states that he was not selling in Canada and meant to sell internationally yet I was bidding with a US address. The auction was up for 3 days he had quite a bit of time where he could have relisted it and ended his auction but he didn't. When I asked him why he didnt remove it earlier he just stopped responding. Just because you dont get the price you wanted in an auction doesnt mean you relist after the winning bid has been made. A winning bid is a winning bid regardless. If you arent happy with that then make it buy it now with a best offer option.
Rant over
BEWARE ITEM IS LISTED NOW.

A lot of packages going to the USA are getting back to me these days. I always ship in small bubble enveloppe with 3$ of stamps on it. Theyre getting back to me with a note saying insufficient postage. 2 said I had to pay a total of 5.70 and the other 8.36! Anybody have any tricks for that not happening?

yes, ALWAYS get a printed label from the post office, and get them to hand cancel it as well (date stamp). I used to work at a PO, this shows the mail man someone from Canada Post has accepted the letter and it will get pushed through. Also, write on the package in a noticeable place "PAPER PRODUCT ONLY"
