Beautiful card, and I don't blame the seller.... put up a really high price (much more than you think you can get) and see what offers come in.

I put in the one offer and was declined without a counter. I'll be surprised if the seller gets much more than my offer when it does finally sell. Time will tell...

I for one am happy to see this. Like someone else already posted so many people complain about their cards being worth nothing, that they get no value in return when ripping wax. etc etc. Then we complain because someone is asking for more then "we think is fair".

It's his card, and he can ask whatever he wants. Obviously there is no rush to sell it for him, which is nice to see. I am so sick of people trying get get their money out of a card as quickly as they can and settling for less than they should, it devalues all of our cards.
This guy pulled a 1/1 with a beauty patch, from what is guaranteed to be the #1 most desirable subset from this release.
Good on him for trying to get a decent price on it.
Shame on anyone who claims that he is "holding it hostage". That kind of mentality is not helping the hobby. He bought the box, he took the risk and make the investment, NOT YOU! That card is HIS, it belongs to him and he may not NEED to sell it, but is just throwing it out there and letting you know how much it will take to get it. If you don't want to pay that much, then I'm sure he'll be happy to hold onto it in his PC.
Since when do any of us have the right to EXPECT that we can pick up a card like this, one of a kind, for cheap?
Also, just as a side note, there are TONS of deep french canadian pockets who will make decent offers on cards like this with awesome Nordique memorabilia. Just watch how quick he gets his price on it if an announcement is made this year that Quebec will get a team.

I don't think the price is that crazy, its a jumbo patch of a now defunct team that rarely gets memorabilia cards made. Big name player or not ask yourself how many Nordiques jumbo super patches you've seen? Not that many if at all. If the right Nords collector sees that auction it very well could get a decent price that a lot of people would think is high.

As a seller I know what this seller is doing. List the card high hoping someone hits the buy it now. But also field offers and if the right offer comes in they can sell it.
But like another member said, I don't think the asking price is that bad. How many Tugnutt 1/1 are out there. And how many Nordiques jumbo patches are made? A true 1/1 maybe. No others have been made that I know of.

Yah, what he said. It's high, but still reasonable for what it is...............you wanna see insane? This has ended, I'm assuming in some sort of private deal, or he'll be re-listing it with the name spelt right hahahaaa

I see that and I think to myself "there's a card I'll never own" and then I move on, there's LOTS of cards out there, sooooo many different versions of the same blasted Certified card :D

Well as if I'm already not furious enough with eBay, they screwed me royally out of a Gorges card #'d /2 from Prime.
With about 2 minutes left I put in my early bid - left the little pop-up screen there after confirming that so that all I'd have to do is re-raise as necessary to ensure the victory.
8 seconds to go I've got my super-bid in place and hit Submit.
What happened next is something that I have NEVER seen before.
The screen shifted a little bit but the bid field was still showing. What the heck. I just kinda stared at it for a second wondering what was happening.
Scrolled down and there was a Confirm Bid button.
By the time I realized and processed all that, even though I tried to hit the button at the final instant....too late.
I have NEVER had that Confirm button show when I'm on the pop-up screen in over 10 years of eBay. Card sold for $113.50 when my max bid was $175.26 but it never got registered.
I feel robbed. That's a card /2 and I will likely never see the opportunity to get the other one, which I'm pretty sure won't be as nice since this one had the great majority of the A in the jersey window.
Yeah it's my own fault for not realizing what it needed of me and putting in a bid super late to avoid the last second outbid/shilling, but come on, I put in a bid with 8 seconds left - how could I possibly have time to scroll & confirm?
Ugh. Just. Ugh.Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...
