Obviously this whole school shooting was faked as an elaborate conspiracy to pass stricter gun control laws, you and your youtube link have cracked this wide open.

I would say it's because when you experience a tragedy, the first reaction is to put on a brave face and smile. That doesn't work on camera though.
It doesn't mean he wasn't sad. It means he's an emotional wreck right now. That's how I see it anyway.
