Yeah that was a real cowardly act. I feel bad for the firemen and their families.

this is about 45 min from my house. the guy who commited the crime was a convicted felon who got out of jail recently. What was he in jail for you might ask? Murdering his 74 year old grandmother with a hammer.....this is the definition of the system failing. i apologize if i seem on a soapbox but those families that are suffering should not be. something like this should be totally avaoidable given the suspects history.

I live less than 10 minutes from these houses and it just saddens me that this happened, let alone this close to christmas. These four firemen are true american heroes. To make matters worse, rumors are we may be getting a "visit" from the westboro baptist church

The system does fail at times.Funny how some feel people can be saved or cured and put back in society. But 9 times out of 10 they can't and continue to act in a criminal way.My heart goes out to the families.

Hey guys this is my hometown (I live less than 10 miles from the crime scene, and have friends in the neighborhood.) and it is an unspeakable tragedy. My brother went to school with the younger one that died, and the older one that died's son. Our whole community is trying to recover from this horrible crime.
