    Question

We are all familiar with the books of the big 3. The OT, NT,Koran. Yes we are aware of the problems within these books, possible contridictions, homophobia, God being jeaulous, hateful and, vengeful, all of those books condoning barbaric behavior that is unacceptable by today's standards, ect. Here's my question. It's mainly directed to the atheists but anyone who has an opionion feel free. Let's say for the sake of argument all of the big 3 are wrong and neither one of them are God's chosen religion. Would it be possible for you to still believe in God just not the God of the big 3?

No, the whole concept of a "God" would be comical if it weren't so egotistical.

Are you saying it's less egotistical to think we came about by accident and have shaped everything by ourselves?

Good point. However the Hindu religion is far different from the big 3. I was referencing the big three because of despite what each of their followers tell your are very similiar and could be confused for the same religion.

No, No, No, for what you are calling the Big 3. And a big no to any god.

My Big 3 are Orr, Howe, Mario. BTW

Not sure what you are referring to by the bolded text? As for the rest; yes, it's far less egotistical to think we came about the same way every other species did, than to think some "God" made this world FOR US.

habs, I would not argue with that, but would say, my idea of God is the singularity that everything came from and we are all a part of. where He (not that He is a man or even male) came from is not known, which would be reasonable to think we cannot discover the source of all things, the beginning.
Thinking we were created rather than an accident is reasonable and has nothing to do with logic. Logic does not always equal anti-religious theories and hypothesis.
They both can compliment each other quite nicely.
