Am I missing something?? Why so much$$$?
Why is this card selling for so much?? Is it laced with solid gold or something.
Hmmmm, do I wanna buy a Favre Auto, or this card???
I just don't get it!!!
Maybe I'm too old to understand why this is such a "hot" card.
superfractor??

I'd bet at least half the people who bid on this think that Favre is only famous for his appearance in Something About Mary.
Plus, its not often you can get to collect someone who looks like Joe Camel.

Joe the rich F-in camel, yeah I dont get it either. Hip hop culture is BS and Topps is retarded for putting Jay-Z cards out.

Ooh, that's the first super-refractor I've seen. Those are true 1/1s.
But, yeah, don't you have to play basketball to appear on basketball cards? I hope people stop buying these, or Topps will be putting more & more celeb cards in their sets. Ugh.

I'm sure, and hope, you didn't intend it to come out that way, but that statement verifies that many people don't truly understand what hip-hop means. Hip-hop is not just about music, but is a social movement, and a way of life, that has unfortunately been commercialized just as almost everything else has in society.

I hear if you rub the card 3 times Jay-Z will appear and grant you a wish! It works with all the 1/1 celebrity cards. Whoever buys it better hope he didn't do it already, it only works once.

Good point Rick, and for the record I'm a fan of hip-hop culture and rap. But I digress . . .
To the point of the thread, I see this card as a more modern version of the Topps cut autos of deceased dignitaries and celebrities, so I don't have any problem with it. Anyway, the more valuable autos I can pull in packs the better as far as I'm concerned because then I can sell/trade them for cards I really want.

I am not a fan of the celeb card myself but that is what makes card collecting a great hobby. I mean some people collect bonds, some collect arod, some collect celebrity cards, What's the difference? It is all a matter of personal preference. And besides if You can get $180 for A Jay Z card , I say, more power to you.
