YOur right I have never smoked it so I don't know the affects.I have seen only a few cases where people have reacted negatively to it.So with that being said I agree again to tax it then and get the debt down. Then maybe us working class people can finally get breaks from taxes and stuff

well you can get alcohol poisoning with liquor and around 40 people a day die do to drunk driving. so what happens when someone over smokes and drives?
also found this, which includes long and short term effects of marijuana
For a small percentage of people who use it, marijuana can be highly addictive. It is estimated that 10% to 14% of users will become heavily dependent. In 2006 marijuana was responsible for 16% of all admissions to treatment facilities in the U.S. Because the consequences of marijuana use can be subtle and insidious, it is more difficult to recognize signs of addiction. Cultural and societal beliefs that marijuana cannot be addictive make it less likely for people to seek help or to get support for quitting.

High driving? It's not safe but drunk drivers tend to speed. High drivers never get out of first.
As far as over smoking I don't know. No one does. There is no record in the history of earth of anyone overdosing on marijuana.
I'm not saying it's impossible, just that you fall asleep before you get there.

The number of people that want to drive while high on righteous weed wouldn't even register on the scale compared to the morons that daily jump behind the wheel of their car for the ride home from their Local.
People that have a decent Jag on, aren't in the least bit interested in driving. The extreme right will grasp at all straws when it comes to pot usage and use all worthless examples.

the facts are you guys will make excuses for everything and then try to make it sound legit by blaming conservatives or religion for being against everything.
so instead of answering about smoking and driving I here how they wouldn't do that, which is about as smart as saying people won't drink and drive. everyone will smoke at home and never need to go anywhere. or people who smoke weed are smarter than that? really? you are smoking a substance which will alter how you think and feel and is illegal but they are smart?
I have shown that 10-14% of people in rehab are there for pot, but you say pot is not an issue, if so then why are these people in rehab for it? we are talking about 3-4 hundred thousand people, (300,000 - 400,000 in case you are high)
if you over drink and drive you may crash, the same goes for over smoking.
cheech and chong were not cool, they were losers.

How is it an excuse?
I smoked weed daily for about 15 years, never once did any of us think about driving. I have been in one vehicle in my life where the driver is high.
I have been in over 500 vehicles when the driver was drunk.
300-400K in Rehab for pot. They are in rehab because they are failures as humans.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's everybody was drunk half the time. Drinking is serious business in Canada.
And the people in rehab for Pot you say. They are in Rehab because they are alcoholics, they do Meth, they cannot hold a job and they cannot feed themselves or their family, they just happen to smoke weed occasionally.
