Johnson, will fade away in Columbus.
Hamilton, its been 4 games are we all jumping like the media ?
Toss a few more names out here, Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk ( St.louis gonna be strong for a few years and they will benefit )
Letang hes only 25, five to seven years no problem.
And as much as I hate to say it as an Islanders Fan, Del Zotto
I agree with Weber and Karlsson obvious ones, but Boychuk kinda ???? hes 29 already so 5-7 years cant see it.

Don't know how much of a homer argument this is but what about Leddy?? He has progressed very nicely already and is only 21. Karlsson and Weber have to be in there, and Pietrangelo is awesome, although he hasn't looked very good so far this season

and there are a handful of other young defencemen that are making their strides in the league such as Gardiner here in Toronto. Weber has already established himself as perhaps the best two way defenceman in the league and karlsson is already a Norris winner eventhough I thought he got lucky last year.
Unlike years in the past I don't think the Norris will be dominated like it has in the past by Lidstrom b /c there isn't one guy that sticks out that is better than everyone else. I think a guy like Doughty has the most potential since he has all the tools to dominate the league for the next 10 years. I don't think Subban belongs in this list b/c his game is too inconsistent and he plays a little too wild for my liking.

There is a certain player that I have been overhyping everywhere that I would normally on a list like this. But honestly I don't see it.
