International Redemptions Advice
Hey
I just wanted some advice on redemption cards. I see threads on here all the time (mostly negative) about Panini and their redemption service but I was wondering if anyone from outside America has done it? If you have how did it go? Do you have to pay shipping? and do I need the actual card or can I just ask the seller for the code?
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks
Mike

I'm not outside the US and I haven't dealt with Panini redemptions before or I would help you. But my suggestion would be to check out the hockey section and ask the same question. You should have somebody at least from Canada that would be able to help. Better odds at hitting a non US collector in hockey.

I have redeemed a ton of cards with Panini, and usually it turns out fine. But patience is a virtue. Sometimes it can take forever to get the actual card sent to you. Some players are just extremely slow when it comes to signing their cards.
Most of the times i get the unscratched redemption sent to me, but also have received just the code through email on occasion. When i only get the code i always keep a copy of the email and/or ebay invoice just to be safe (and have proof of buying the redemption since you dont actually have it in hand!).
You dont have to pay shipping to panini, once you have redeemed the code on their website they will ship it to you once they have it in at no extra cost. Low and mid-end cards through regular post and high-end cards are usually even shipped through fedex to make sure it arrives safe and with signature confirmation.
Customer service has become better since the first two years, with the new CSM manager they hired about a year ago they seem to be more interested to make a concerted effort to get their act together.
Hope this helps you out a little.
