Finest "Protectors"
My friends and I have always debated as to whether or not taking off the "topps finest protector peel and remove coating" would hurt the cards value. What exactly is the purpose of the "protector" and does removing it or leaving it on affect the cards value??? My friend has a 94-95 Finest Jordan, we don't know what to do with it regarding the protector.

leave it on it will keep the glassy type surface free from scratches thus keeping it in better condition

also, if you go to resell the card, you'll need the protector on to have it considered mint. it does suck from a collectors point of veiw. It's similar to getting a cool GI Joe or something and being forced to keep it in it's packaging.
