Arkansas is closer to making concealed guns in churches legal.

Once again, the irony in this story is too great not to ignore.
Where is your faith people?
Won't god protect you if something happens?
Why do need to bring a gun to church of all places?
I mean, let's think this out.....if you don't feel safe in a place where you believe is holy and under the protection of your deity, where in the world is "safe"?
This country is in a state of paranoia, and more guns is not the answer.

There are almost as many attacks inside churches annually as there are inside schools if not more. Having faith in God does not stop evil from happening, nor do I think I have some God force field around me. Why is carrying a gun in church any worse or harder to believe than concealed carrying anywhere else?

C'mon shrew....you know as much as I do that the majority of believers do in fact believe that god will protect them from evil.
You know, from the popular prayer:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

I think he gets it from the people that say god protects them... at least that's what is sometimes said by people who happen to survive tragedy anyways... or win super bowls. He's obviously saying that tongue in cheek.

Do you seriously think, that with everything that gets said, it's unreasonable for someone to think God does favour and protect certain people?
Billions of people are members of churches based solely on this idea.
