Now 83/100 with today's success c/o Home address (in database) of Heath Miller. This is card number 88 in my set. Heath's been a great NFL Tight End and I loved the bobble catch photo....once I found this photo, it was a no-brainer to make a card of him.

Success 84/100 with card number 47 signed by Rice great and All-American Dick Maegle. He sent back a lot of nice stuff. Included a reprint news story of Lewis' off-bench tackle in the Cotton Bowl, which I will treasure. I am so glad that I found an Archives card to send him as well....these are a blast.

Thanks! My collection revolves around Ohio. I grew up in Northern Ohio and my collection revolves around the Buckeyes, Cavs, Indians and Browns. I don't hate on the Steelers too much these days. The kicker Suisham lives in the same town I do now.

Up today...1 Success. To fill the holes, I made Kevin Butler card number 31. I grew up in the 1980s and the '85 Bears were my heroes along with the late 80s Browns. Kevin Butler was an early TTM success for me in 2009 when I first started and I really wanted to get him on a 1988 Topps (I'm now close to 80 successes from this set). He had a great career at Georgia. I do not have a Punter in my set and would love if I had a home address for his son Drew Butler....he would be a great addition.

I was raised to hate anything in black and yellow, it's especially ridiculous in Eastern KY when that's all you hear. I'm like to heck with them. Keep showing 'em off man I love them I plan on sending out to some Cleveland greats soon.

Two successes today....now up to 87 spots officially filled. Up first, All-American Honey Badger:

I wrote to Tyrann because you cannot deny his playmaking ability. The draft analysts keep going back and forth on him but ultimately, everyone agrees he's a playmaker. Here's hoping for a great career.

My second success for today was from former Cleveland Brown and Clemson Tiger Michael Dean Perry:

When I was a kid, I grew up on the outskirts of the Cleveland "metro area", at least in terms of McDonald's.....all the Browns promotions typically quit about 7 miles away from where I lived....except for one. We did get the "MDP" cheeseburger which in the early 1990s was a Triple Cheeseburger named after Michael Dean Perry. I think it had bacon on it also. We loved Michael Dean. He was definitely better than his brother the Fridge, but just did not have the awesome nickname.

Overall, I'm up to 94 cards made which means I have 7 Magic cards either out or getting ready to go out. I am hoping that I can find 6 more reliable signers to fill the set. Have ideas? Send them to me.

    Thanks for looking!

Fantastic Tuesday! Two Returns! Now up to 89/100. I made a few more customs yesterday and now have 97/100 slots slated to be filled. Hopefully I have my other 8 outstanding requests fulfilled and then I'll just have 3 more to get to 100.

Up first, a return from Sooner Joe Washington:

I sent Joe the custom Magic card and a letter. He sent me back my card signed plus the 4 x 6 postcard and a business card. My parents always told me stories about him....My mom remembered watching him on Monday Night Football on the night my brother was born....throwing and running for TDs in the rain. Great return.

My second return was from Lincoln Kennedy, a great from my pre-teen years. I remember Lincoln as a stud out of Washington. He was great in his career. He is fun to listen to on Fox Sports Radio.

Any thoughts for my final three spots? Let me know! Comment!

    Thanks for looking!

With today's success, I'm up to 90/100 spots officially filled. Harry Carson signed 2/2 in care of his business (c/o 'Autograph Requests'). I wrote to Harry because he was a small-school great that had a great NFL career. I colorized the photo of him from his days at South Carolina State. I was glad to add another signed '88 Topps also. I've probably already said this, but these are the second year of Topps I remember buying as a kid. The 1987 Topps cards were my first and I did not have many. By 1988, I was getting more serious. By 1989 & 1990, I was a sports card junkie. These cards are very near to my heart. Some day I will share my 1988 Topps successes.....I have toughies including Kellen Winslow (c/o Wilberforce College with donation), Neal Anderson, Willie Gault, Refrigerator Perry, Frank Minnifield, Hanford Dixon, just to name a few.
Back to the Magic cards......I still have 3 spots that are yet to be 'pegged'. I took a looooooooooong shot on Saturday on a College Football legend that hopefully works out. But I'm not holding my breath. At this point, I'm still looking or three more reliable signers (preferably defenders) to fill the rest of the Magic set.

Thanks for looking. I always appreciate everyone's comments.
