    Hobby vs Retail Packs?

I was just wondering if anyone else has a hard time busting good boxes or even average boxes. It seems as if I get some bad boxes compared to what I see and hear of people pulling. I buy alot of boxes at least 1 or 2 a week. Ive recently noticed that when I purchase Retail packs I am pulling better cards then when going to the card shop and buying boxes. I thought maybe my luck just sucked but some of this Hobby stuff with the odds of something being like one in two boxes to get a rc patch(SP Authentic). I like Upper Deck products and tend to stay away from Topps except for the Rookies. So Ive started buying more retail, mainly packs and for some reason my luck has drastically changed from the hobby packs. Feel free to leave your own box disasters.

Best Hobby Boxes: (None Recently and the only hobby boxes ive ever pulled anything over $100 bv)

01-02 UD Inspirations Basketball (KG Auto/Pau Gasol RC #ed to 275 bv at time $120.00)
2002 Topps Football (Terry Bradshaw RC Reprint Auto bv $150.00)
00-01 E-X Basketball (Daris Miles RC bv at time $100, Steve Francis Feel the Game Patch bv at time $60.00)

    Best Retail Packs: all basketball
00-01 Stadium Club (pack buster only paid $0.49 and pulled Lone Star Sigs Magic Jonhson bv $120.00)
05-06 Topps Pristine (one pack pulled Drexler/Gerald Green dual auto #ed 1 of 5 sold for $200 on ebay.
05-06 Topps Chrome (seven packs pulled auto, jersey refractor, 5 black refractors (1 rc)#ed to 399, and 5 refractors (3 rcs) #ed to 999)
havent had much luck with UD this year whats up?

Sure Hobby is guaranteed stuff in a box, but I have hit a Roethlisberger auto /25 out of retail and a few other notables. If you find something in retail its usually nice. Just harder to get anything.

I got a Chris Paul GU #/100 from a retail pack of 2005 Press Pass, so there's definitely a chance you can get something good, even if it's less likely. I also pulled my first-ever auto (96-97 Autographics of Grant Hill) from a retail pack.
