At what price point is grading worth the cost?

I have 2 cards coming down the pipeline.. a #/49 RG3 Patch/Auto and a #/10 Cal Ripken Jr Auto ..... those definitely will be getting a BGS submission when they arrive from redemption..

but my question is..

At what price point does the BGS submission work financially to get a return on grading prices.

Over $100? Over $200?

If the difference between graded and ungraded is equal to or greater than the price of the slabbing. At minimum, it's like a $7 price tag for grading. So if the sale price increases by $8, you're getting a $1 return. If you grade faster, those numbers get bigger.

than i guess the real question should be which cards are worth getting graded and which are worth leaving alone.

Since anything below a 9.5 on the grading scale hurts value doesnt it?
