Football Card History?

Anyone know a site that has some sort of hisotry on cards. I think it be a pretty good read, like the other day I was wondering whatever happened to like classic, collectors choice etc, assume they were bought out and what not.

thanks was a good read, some of the links were dead or lead to random stuff like classic went to the actual term classic, regardless still a good read the link to a topps fact sheet was neat. Once again thanks.
