He's not either. Morrison has size and scoring ability. He's never going to be a superstar, but hes going to be a guy who can average 15-20 a game for a while in the league.

As for his defense, he can't guard a wall. Which means he should fit right into the NBA.

yeah no way is he going to be a dirk...
adam morrison and reddick are gonna have a tough time finding away to be great or even good...they are the stars of gonzaga and duke and they get the ball...alot...so when they jump in the nba are they gonna get the ball alot? of course not...and if they do it better be a team with nobody stepping up or playing well...as for reddick he'll have more trouble being a team player not selfish but fitting into a role where he's not the general...adam's been in that position and last year...adam who?

i agree with greenbeans.... he was the nations leading scorer this year... AGAINST WHO? he didnt play the schedule duke played... everyone talks about his heart and while i agree he is intense where was he in the final minutes VS indiana when indiana had a chance to win it. He was no where close to the ball... he threw the ball to batista with a few seconds left instead of taking the foul and hitting two big shots to win the game. I know this may be a waste of time now but a true champ wants the ball in those situations.. that is the exact reason i dont think lebron will ever be the next MJ... lately is has been looking better but he gives up the ball too much in the last couple minutes of the game

I agree with him being another Wally Z, or Reggie Miller type player, he's just not athletic enough. He'll score though, he's a tough player.

Another Larry Bird??? No such thing. There is only 1 Bird, 1 Magic, 1 Jordan, thats just ridiculous to even compare the 2.

Also, I have a question!! I just have to ask this, as it always cracks me up. Why does the media, and people in general, ALWAYS compare up and coming "White" players, to Larry Bird, or other star white players. Why couldn't Morrison be the next Ray Allen, or Dale Ellis ect. (which are a lot closer to his skills, than a Bird or Van Horn for example)
    Just curious!!

Irish, I was just going to post somehting like that. Excellent point. I think Morrison is a good deal less of a longball threat than Ray Allen though, and a bit more active than Dale Ellis (but I only really saw Ellis after he was past his prime).
He's more of a scorer than a shooter, in my opinion. But i can't think of a good guy to compare him to.

Chris Myers of Fox Sports asked a very similar question to Morrison. Something like does it bother you to be compared to Bird all the time just because of your race. Morrison said he wasn't bothered at all. Obviously being compared to Bird is a compliment. He was very cool about it.

Being compared to Bird may be a compliment, but being compared to Keith Van Horn? Not so much. :)
