2013 Florida Spring Training - Dominican Republic at Philadelphia Phillies

I went to today's game between the Dominican Republic and the Philadelphia Phillies. Things weren't going exceptionally well on the DR side, although Robinson Cano did sign (but I wasn't close enough to get him). Things got better when I went to the Phillies side when the team was coming onto the field before the game....

    On baseball cards:
    Nelson Cruz (DR)
    Fernando Rodney (DR)
Wally Joyner (Phillies Coach, for my autographed 1997 Fleer Set, which is now up to 231)

    On Sweet Spot OMLB:
    Charlie Manuel (Phillies Manager)

    On 8x10 in black sharpie:
Mike Schmidt (Phillies spring training instructor)

Ryne Sandberg signed also but seemed not to be signing Cubs items, which is what I had.
Overall a good day, left the game early since the DR was winning 8-1 in the third inning.

Great job on that Michael Jack! I also have that same Cruz card signed, but through TTM.

Sandberg not signing Cubs items?? I got him on Cubs cards last year. Can anyone else comment on any experience with this as we see them three times a year in Atlanta and I plan on trying for him.

    See howiek1227's Items on eBay

When Sandberg was the manager of Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs he signed before each home game and usually signed multiples. I took the 3 hr drive twice and I got him on an 8x10, OMLB and a Wrigley Field seat back. Things where very organized. Everyone lines of along the 3rd base line and he started at the dugout and would work his way down the line.
The 2 times I got him, he signed everything that was put in front of him.

Yup, I experienced the same thing last year in Gwinnett that was why I was so surprised.
