2 Scammers to look out for
Had a couple issues that I thought I would share with everyone. I spend some time on a Facebook trading page and of course, just like anywhere else, a piece of garbage shows up and tries to cheat the system. Well I found 2 of them and want to share their info just in case you might run into them.
The first one was trying to pawn off cards as his that were currently being sold on ebay by other sellers. He put up a PSA 6 Mickey Mantle, so I looked it up on ebay and sure enough, there it was. I asked him how much he wanted for it. He said $1200. I asked him if he took paypal and he said that his wife might still have her paypal account. I asked if he took money order and he said, yes. I asked for his address and he said he lived in Centre, Alabama. I got what I was looking for with that question. The listing I was looking at on ebay wasn't for sale in Alabama, it was in Wisconsin. I did a search of the address he gave me and found the owners living their to have the last name Pizano, but his name wasn't Pizano. However, he did have friends with the name Pizano on his Facebook page and guess what, they lived in Centre, Alabama. After doing another search for the guy who I was dealing with, I found a second Facebook account. He actually lived in Georgia. So the scam is to use a photo, send an amount of cash to an alternate address so the person living there can say they don't know him and never received a money order and take your money. As soon as I bought this up on the forum, he disappeared. BUSTED!
So look out for guys like this and if you run across an address in Centre, Alabama, it's probably them.
Funny thing is, another guy who lives 2 1/2 hours away from Centre Alabama just tried to do the same thing over the weekend. First, he bought into $385.00 of my group breaks. So when I sent him the cards, I sent them insured with delivery confirmation. But he contacted me and said he didn't get the cards on Saturday when the delivery confirmation shows that he did. Well guess what, Sunday night, he decided to post those cards I sent him up on ebay. The same night, he also tried to pass off cards on ebay as his and he got caught too. So he'd done. He's from Coker, AL. This is his ebay ID so make sure you block him.
If you have been scammed by people using similar cities, please contact me. Unfortunately in this world, the police won't do anything until the actual crime takes place. In other words, you have to lose something for them to do something..... SAD ISN'T IT!

Man, those people need lives, and jobs.
Another one of the many reasons why I still don't have Facebook, or trust ebay...
Great sleuthing job!
