i am arguing that there are more important things to fix first, this is an easy fix and will not help us out as much as equal rights of gender and race, sure, give up on the hard stuff and tackle the easy issues, that has worked so well in the past.

this is just another tactic to take us off point and go in a different direction rather than fixing the real issues that have existed for hundreds of years and still divides us today.

so it is easier to recognize the need for gay rights than gender and race rights and gay rights are more important?

habs, how long has gender and race inequality been an issue? way longer than gay marriage, we haven't fixed those yet, it is not time to move on until the are truly fixed.

Who said anything about "moving on"? To your point, look how long the other issues are taking to resolve; you think a nation cannot address other issues, while long-standing ones are still to be rectified?

Are gender inequality, racial inequality and sexual inequality different things, or are they all part of the same, larger, problem of inequality.

In other words, are you splitting hairs or are you splitting hairs. It's all wrong.

being there are more racial and gender equality issues, I would say they are a priority over sexual anything.

the supreme court and everyone else could be using that valuable time to fix the issues that effects the most people possible, not the people who are screaming the loudest.

But those issues have been and continue to be debated and dealt with. This group has been standing in the shadows for as long as the others have been fighting.

    Injustice is injustice.

injustice for millions is more important than an injustice for the few.

sound mean, take it and make it want you want, but it is the truth

so, yes injustice is injustice, but when one is affecting way more than the other, it should be fixed first.

and when have we done anything for women or minorities rights for fair wages? who is presently heading that? when has the supreme court met to discuss this? when has anyone with any political power taken this on?

this guy is worried about his gay son, when his wife, mother, grandmother, aunts, and daughters (if he has any) have been discriminated against for as long as we have recorded history.

Jay, you are starting to sound like a drama queen. Things may not be perfect for women and minorities, but they have certainly come along way. I will ask it again. Why can't society address all these issues at the same time?

and the easy way out is the easy way out "oh it is better than it was", who cares it is still not equality.

and I believe MLKJ would be more concerned over why 60% of those incarcerated are black than gay marriage.

but lets just leave all these blacks in the prison system, no big deal, at least they have it better than they did in the 1800's!!!

Jay, you are starting to sound like a drama queen.

    starting to??!!!!
