Questions on BAP Signature Series Autos

I have a general question about the UD BAP Signature Series Auto's. Why is it that even though these cards are authenticated auto's by Upper Deck that some collectors act as though they were the plague or trash and not worth even bothering with? Being that I'm in my mid thirty's, I look at it as an auto is an auto is an auto. I understand the numbered card, gu'd patch auto's are harder to obtain. But a base on the card or sticker auto of the same player is the same signature. So why is it that BAP autos are almost frowned upon by some not all collectors?

There one, if not the most common autos. 8 packs a box, and an auto every pack. Also huge majority of the autos are of fairly low end players so they generally dont go for more then 1-5$ I'm not surprised even decent players, say Martin St. Louis doesn't go for more then around 5$ considering the commonality.

Some of the sets are butt-ugly, and that doesn't help either, but some are really nice. The nicer-looking sets are great pickups AFAIK, I don't care what they "book" at. You can get some serious bang for your buck.

There are a few reason that will affect value and collectors perception.
    First availability and demand.
Second the player name overall you will find in the set, will make that some will try to make the full set or not.
Third, sticker also does not help as more and more collector look for hard sign auto.
Fourth, the design also play a role.

Combine these and it can make many to not be interested in them. But you will always find some that will see the interest. To me it's alwats a question of time to move auto but they always end up in a trade. Just may take a few years for them to find a nice home. Like in febuary I have been very active posting a hige trade list and bumping daily, I did loosen up my want to any habs and you would be surprised to see all the trade I made and ended moving cards I never tought would move one day. But you have to be active and have a loose enough want list. before I was only trying to trade for Carey Price. When I opened up to any habs I did not have it made a ton of difference.
