Serial'd base cards with jersey number
I was going through some cards and noticed that I have Tyler Sexsmith phenoms /49 and Danny Briere's limited base card with their jersey numbers. Can I expect any premiums for the numbering?

Most of the time you can get a premium for them but it is weird as some people basically crave them while others do not so it will depend on who wants them.

I know I don't give premium but some will. But to me I personaly see no added value as a collector. But those who resell then there is certainly a added value since if they are patient they will get more. But to me if the person want a premium I will pass and get one that is not the jersey number. The same way I never ask for a premium when I had one. But there is definitly a added value for certain collector, just not for all.

Depending on the card, you can get a few dollars more. If it's a Gretzky and it's #99/99 or a Crosby #87/87, People will go Berserk.

For cards like that, not likely. You'd not get much to begin with, and I can't see anybody who'd chip in more than an extra couple bucks. The serial-numbered thing only works with higher-end cards for the most part unless there's a dedicated player collector.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Just search for 1/1s on eBay and you'll see what the market is like.

I'll chime in and agree that jersey numbered cards usually do attract a premium and the amount depends upon the individual player collector who sees the card you're offering for sale. I'd certainly try and sell it for a price that's more than market for a similar regular numbered card. I'd suggest you check the bay to see how those particular players are selling and even if they're not that popular, list them as a premium to see what happens...then drop the price if you don't find the right collector. Your odds of getting a premium increase with the most popular players who have a larger number of collectors with a greater chance of finding collectors among them who focus on off-beat things.
I used to collect Erik Christensen cards and I'd pounce on anything of his numbered with his jersey number...or #1/XXX. I thought it a fun way to add to my PC.
