    New here

hey I'm new to this forum. I used to collect, and I'm just now starting to get back into it. Just wanted some advice. For Baseball cards, what brand names are good to buy that will have value? Which should I stay away from? Any other tips I would greatly appreciate. thanks

In my opinion, and experience, there is no safe product...I would suggest reading Beckett every month and paying attention to their product reviews. That's a great source. I don't bust many boxes, but I always like Diamond Kings. Unfortuntely Donruss doesn't have a contract to make cards anymore...Also, I would stay away from these new boxes that only have 3 or 4 cards per box...and cost $100's! Unless you're well-off...lol. I hope my 2-cents helps. JOSH

P.S. - If you ever need any help with anything concerning the hobby, please let me know. You can either send me a PM, or email me and I will be glad to help. My email address is [email protected]

Welcome to Sportscardforum, you'll find a wealth of information right here in the various forums. As far as products to buy/not buy, in my opinion all products are a crap shoot. Some are just less or more expensive depending on what you can get out of them. Since you're just starting out take a little time and read some other posts to find out what other people are ranting or raving about.

Your much better off buying your "choice cards" off Ebay. Boxes are always hit or miss, but that's what makes it fun or a gut shot. BTW dont buy Topps Triple Threads, its garbage IMO.
