If I were you, I would wait until Colorado actually drafts Seth Jones. Patrick Roy stated that they are open to the possibility of trading the first overall selection. With Patrick Roy involved, I'm expecting the unexpected.

This is just my opinion, but my spidey sense tells me that Colorado will either trade the selection or draft Nathan MacKinnon.

Yup, Roy seen a lot of MacKinnon and Drouin so I try he will push hard for one of the two, maybe he'll from 1 to 3rd, never know

Thanks for the input. I have been out of town since his press conference. I will wait to see what roy and sakic do with the pick. The talk here in colorado has been that jones was a perfect fit. By the way, where did you here what roy has been saying? I would like to educate myself.

Here in Canada, TSN and Sportsnet were reporting from the press conference when Patrick Roy was introduced as the new head coach and vice president of hockey operations'. Roy stated 'we are open to trading the pick. Whether we trade the pick or keep the pick - or who we select - it will be a team decision'.

We must also keep in mind that Patrick Roy coached against Drouin and MacKinnon so he knows what to expect from both. He practically gushed when talking about both of them. Not only that, MacKinnon did shine at the Memorial Cup recently, while Seth Jones was average. MacKinnon's team beat Jones' team for the championship to boot.

And so the suspense builds...
