NBA All-Defensive Teams
http://www.nba.com/2013/news/05/13/a...s=iref:nbahpts
I find it very interesting that Marc Gasol wins DPOTY and yet he only just scrapes it onto the All-NBA Second Team, which is only because Noah and Chandler both had 24 points to make the joint All-NBA First Team.
Anyone else agree or disagree with the teams?

Voting is a joke. Second team looks like it can lock down the first......
Lebron fans explain his lack of PFs by the fact that he guards the duds and cheats off them most of the game but he gets the majority of votes? You get a foul just for being in the vicinity of action in the NBA. How do you play 45min per .....in the playoffs.... without picking up 1 .... for 2 straight games .... on the road
???

As a Grizz fan and season ticket holder I was floored by this, but really, it's pretty easily explained.
1) Voting on the DPOY is by the media; the All-D teams are by the coaches
2) Tony Allen had the most votes, period, of any player on the All-D team (53 points to Lebron's 52; he had one more 2nd team vote which was the one point difference). Conley also made it. We were the only team that had more than one player make it, and we had THREE. So I would imagine that TA and Conley ate into Marc's votes. Plus, you can't vote for your own player, so he (well, all three) lost Hollins's vote.
Last year it happened as well - Chandler won DPOY and didn't make the first team either (Howard did, by 5 points), but they only had one center last year and this year has voting for two.

I was shocked that Andre Iguodala didn't make the 1st team, much more that he didn't make either team. He literally transformed Denver's defense this year.
