    There's an important aspect of this comparison to 05/06 that people are skipping over ~ part of the insanity behind 05/06 was that it boasted the two most anticipated players since Gretzky and Lemieux retired. Say what you want about the '12 and '13 rookie classes, there's still no true comparison between the two.

    I kind of have to agree. Neither class has Crosby in it.
    What I do see happening very much like 05-06 is after a few years 1 or 2 guys will be selling high and the rest will level out to pretty low levels...just like every year.

    I don't get how this year is a double class?
    The lock-out was for only half a season, unlike 05-06 when the entire 04-05 season was wiped out.

    They didn't include any of the 12-13 debuting rookies in 12-13 products... so, they and the 13-14 rookies will be in 13-14 products. Thus the double class. :)
