Post Poll: 93% want US government to label genetically modified food

    http://thehill.com/blogs/regwatch/en...enhanced-food-

An ABC News poll last summer showed that 93 percent of the public believes that the government should require labels on food that has been genetically modified.

"I think 93 percent of Americans really don't agree on anything in this country," said Gary Hirshberg, chairman of the advocacy group Just Label It. "So there really are few issues that unite Americans than desire to know what's in our food. People want to know more, not less.”

I have been preaching the same thing about monsanto for weeks and got laughed at. I hope that each of you take a long hard look at the food that you are feeding yourselves and your families.

State of Ct has passed a bill requiring the labelling. I think it was either signed last week or is about to be signed by the Governor

I have been preaching the same thing about monsanto for weeks and got laughed at. I hope that each of you take a long hard look at the food that you are feeding yourselves and your families.

I actually just watched a very enlightening documentary about two weeks ago called "Hungry for Change" that talks about how artificial sweeteners, fat substitutes and foods that are processed with chemicals to produce desirable tastes and textures impact our bodies and health. Some of it was really surprising. They were talking about how these things affect your body and health and it was like they were talking about me.

I won't claim that my eating habits have changed 100%, but my family and I have started making some changes like eliminating soft drinks and sugary foods, buying fresh veggies, eating less red meats and eating out less.

I didn't laugh at you I just said there is more than one company out there.

And guess what. Everything is actually labeled GMO. If it doesn't say Certified Organic then it is more than likely GMO. 99% of corn and 90% of soybeans are modified. Most vegetables are as well.

I found out what aspartame does in the human body when I was 11 and haven't touched a single diet pop since.
