Question about a card? 00 Fleer Genuine Coverage Jersey
Hi everyone - I have a 00 Fleer Genuine Coverage Jersey of former Brown WR Kevin Johnson.
the card is not listed in my think quarterly Beckett and on Beckett.com it just says:
2000 Fleer Tradition Genuine Coverage 18 Kevin Johnson NM-MT Own 1 N/A N/A N/A
Also - according to the *printed* beckett #18 is Terry Kirby, not KJ. This is further confusing since in the printed beckett the checklist is totally different from the online guide from #18 on:
printed beckett beckett online
#18 Terry Kirby #18 Kevin Johnson
#19 Shane Mathews #19 Terry Kirby
#20 Ed McCaffery #20 Shane Mathews
#21 Cade McNown #21 Ed McCaffery
#22 Herman Moore #22 Cade McNown
...you get the idea... the online guide says there is an extra card in the set, the Kevin Johnson...wheras the printed beckett doesn't mention a Kevin Johnson at all.
Anyone have any idea what the Johnson is worth?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!Please feel free to message me here about my electronic bay & COMC listings

I've seen this same question asked on Beckett as well so here's the answer. The Kevin Johnson is an after-bankrupcy release. Similarly, never announced as a shortprint, but the Mark Brunell from this set was extremely hard to find (NEVER SAW them on ebay ever). In fact, I only had 1 for my master set UNTIL ARA started filling in the Fleer Redemptions. Since then I've seen the Brunell's AND KJ flood the market. Seriously the BV would be in the $10-15 range. The N/A just means there hasn't been enough market info on it, but clearly this card doesn't command ANY premium.
Here's 2 KJ's on ebay - not expensive at all:

I don't know why I didn't check ebay...duh
I got that Brunell from that set as well if you are interested - I'm sure you have six of them already.
Good to see Fleer is still F-ing things up for collectors even after they are bankrupt. Thank you very much for your help. I went to college with KJ so I'll prob just keep it. thanks again

I got one of those in my redemption lot from the Fleer post bankruptcy cards that they sent me for my redemptions I had in with Fleer.
I know this was already discussed in another thread...but...I was still disappointed in what I was sent. I had not basketball redemptions yet four of my autographs were basketball...I hate the NBA!
I am glad that I got something and will stop whining now.
But those Kevin Johnson's showed up after the redemption cards started going out.

I got the same card too from my Fleer Redemptions. It just gets thrown into the game used lot like all the others.

I also got a Dez White GU Jersey from the 2001 Fleer Authority Goal Line Gear that was not listed on Beckett.
I am curious to know how many cards are hitting the secondary market from the Fleer redemption process that had not preivously been released?
