Which Box Should I Get?
I am primarily a baseball collector, with somewhere around 50 hockey cards that I got for free and I think I bought a few packs. I have decided that I want to get a box of hockey cards.
I am a Blue Jackets fan and live in the US if it matters. Here is my criteria:
1. Must be from 2000-, when the Blue Jackets have existed
2. Would prefer it to be in the past 5 years, even better if last year or this upcoming year
3. I mainly want base, possibly with a chance of getting an auto
What box would be the best for me to get a good variety of players for cheap? Is there a cheap version of popular hockey cards (kind of like Opening day for baseball)?
Thanks for the help

i'm guessing 12-13 score would be your best bet

Score, Victory, or OPC are some of the lower-end hockey sets

If you want lots of Blue Jackets base and the chance of pulling an autograph, go for Score or O-Pee-Chee.

It's a little higher in the price range, but this year's Rookie Anthology is LOADED with Blue Jackets! You could also try to find a case break of it and bid on just the Blue Jackets - should be able to win them for $35-40 for a case. I ended up with them when I came in low on a random draft and then I also bought them on another case break and I got some very nice rookies, some autos and a couple of limited inserts both times.

I'm with Gallinator, Rookie Anthology has a lot of Blue Jackets hits.

12/13 - there is no 13/14 yet (which would come next year if it is released). Last year's was 11/12 and the current one is 12/13, released just a few weeks ago.
