Would anyone be interested in a competition?

I have an idea and want to know if there would be any interest in it.

Everyone who is competing would buy 1 pack of cards (we could set rules, such as sport, number of cards, brand, no prospect sets, or possibly just the same product) and open it and list the cards they pulled here. Then, we would have a set amount of time to get as many of the cards we pulled signed as possible. We could either limit it to TTM to make it fair to people who don't go to games often or allow any type of auto to count. Whoever gets the highest percentage signed wins. I don't have any prize to offer and I don't think a prize would be a good idea because of how easy it would be to fake the cards you pulled to get better signers, but if someone had something they wanted to offer, we could do that.

Would anyone be interested in this or have any suggestions for what pack we should use? I was thinking either opening day because it is cheap, bowman because it provides a mix of prospects and MLB players, or USA Champions because it provides a huge variety of players and might be hard hunting down some of the younger players so it would be less of what cards you pull and more of hunting down young, undrafted prospects and old retired players.

    Anyone else?

And for anyone who is interested, and ideas for the rules? I think it would be generally good to stick with the same sort of thing. Different sports are easier or harder than others (such as hockey and soccer which have international issues) and depending on the set some are easier or harder (prospects are more likely to sign than players with a lot of pro experience).

Here are my thoughts for baseball, although we could do a different sport and/or have different ones for different sports:
    USA Champions
Golden Age (need to dodge the dead people though)
    Bowman

Yeah sounds good to me. I think the winner should get one of each persons signed card of their choice from the contest

I like the idea of any auto counting ( IP or TTM). I'd also perfer the Bowman Baseball set.

Looks like Bowman is the most popular answer and I assume everyone here would be able to get it. It looks like we have 5 people in, we should wait a week or 2 until we get a few more. Here are the rules. If you don't like one, suggest a change:

    1. When you go to the store, buy at least 2 packs. Choose 1 to open first. If you only pull base, gold, prospects, chrome prospects, and minis, then post your break here. Those are the ones you will use. If you hit anything else, keep going. Once you get a pack that just has the cards I listed, post that. You can not move on to a new pack because you don't like the cards you pulled.

    2. If you hit anything really special (mainly a Puig mini, but there could be special circumstances) post here first with what you pulled and we will decide if you can go on to the next pack. Most likely we will let you, as long as we don't think you are doing it to get better cards (more likely for TTM)

    3. You can use any pack that has 10 cards in it. This includes retail, hobby, 1 pack from the 3 pack retail things, or a pack from blasters (no jumbo as that has more cards). Remember, if you get multiple packs, do the first eligible pack, not a random one.

    4. Once we start, you may begin obtaining autos however you want. This includes TTM and IP autos. Don't fake autos. Anything signed counts, personalization, drawings (a few players do that), or anything else in addition do not affect it.

    5. You can send/bring to the game multiple cards of the same player, but if you have more than 1 identical card that you send together, all must be signed for it to count. If you send 3 BCP and 1 gets signed, we don't know if that was yours from the competition or another. If you lose your card (most likely through TTM, although any way counts) don't replace it.

    6. Once you get your autos, scan them or take a pic and post them here.

    7. You can obtain TTM addresses any way you want including the TTM manager, the success threads, and contacting other people. You can make deals here to trade an address for an address if you want, but you don't need to.

    8. Unless someone wants to offer one, there is no prize for winning. This is just for fun and is a lot more fun if everyone is friendly and fair.

    9. The winner is the person who gets the highest number of their 10 cards back signed. If there is a tie, the date of obtaining the last auto determines the winner. If there is a still a tie, we go to the 2nd last, then the 3rd, etc.
