Inquiry: Upper Deck Collector's Choice 1996-1997

    Hello,

Could anybody give me a rough estimation of how much would the entire Upper Deck Collector's Choice 1996-1997 series (400 cards) sell for? Overall, the collection is in a pretty solid condition, except for a few cards. Would anybody be interested in purchasing the entire series? I also own almost the entire UDCC 1997-1998 series, missing only 10 cards.

    Thanks in advance

Anybody? Does the lack of replies indicate that there isn't much value to be found in those cards?

As far as the base set I would think the set holds a value of around 20. the single rcs are worth more split. The gold rcs are what hold value. This was the lowest and most produced item that year. Like to hear other opinions

Thank you for the answer. I browsed through my collection of extra cards and found the following that might be of interest to potential buyers:

    - The Jordan Dynasty / 1996-1997 NBA Champions / 5 Years of Dominance JD 5 card (03995/23,000)
    - Walter McCarty Exclusive Rookie Card 97 #R9
    - Brent Barry Golden "You Crash the Game" Card #C12
    - Michael's View Points MVP23 VP3 card (the upper left corner with the flying MJ is partly torn)
    - Bullseye MJ Cards B2, B4, B14, B25, B30
    - Golden Mini-Cards: Khalid Reeves #M144, Chris Mills #M105, Steve Smith #M93, Shareef Abdur-Rahim #M175, Tim Hardaway #M134, B.J. Armstrong #M116

Plus a whole bunch of Star Quest, Stick-Ums, You Crash the Game, Dateline NBA, From Way Downtown cards

Are those 1998 Preview series cards of any value? I've got Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Gary Payton, John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups and Ray Allen in mint condition, for example.

UD Collector's Choice was inexpensive when it came out. 1996-97 was Kobe's RC year. This guy is one of the best to ever play ball and his RC from this set only books at $5. You can regularly pick them up in the dollar bin at card shows. Great rookie class, very difficult product to move because there is just so damn much of it. As for the value? I am right with the earlier post, $15-20 in trade value and pretty close to zero in sell value unless someone is looking for cheap RC's of one of the best rookie classes ever.
