    Eastern League All Star Game

After training for work Tuesday headed to New Britain, CT for the EL ASG festivities that included an autograph signing with the team followed by a homerun derby that featured several ESPN personalities as guests (Jay Harris, Jay Crawford, etc.) and it was MC’d by Doug Glanville. The signing session wasn’t run very well just one long line that consisted of the allstars and you couldn’t really jump around, the tried pushing 1per but most guys did their limits unless there was security present to enforce the 1per. If you were within the first 200-250 people you probably got through otherwise you were out of luck, also some of the hitters got up early to prep for the HR derby (Cesar Puello signed for 10min before splitting). Derby dragged on seemingly forever but Caleb Joseph just beat out Jarek Cunningham to win it. Following that there was a party tent for the players and their families and certain VIP people, they eventually kicked fans out of the stadium but despite the large crowd a good number of players stopped.

Stayed with one of my buddies since he doesn’t live far from the park and was able to head back this afternoon before the ASG to try and hit guys coming in (which went terribly, even Joe Panik denied) however inside getting guys was great and was done well before game started, it rained heavy on and off all day and was tired so just headed back home as the forecast suggested more rain. Surprised they got the game in.

CT Double Dip: Trenton Thunder @ NB Rockcats & Brooklyn Cyclones @ CT Tigers

Headed to New Britain, CT to hit Trenton, had the team set so figured I could go to put a dent in it, Sano was gone for the Future's game so wasn't really much to go for and I was pressed for time to make it in time to the other game for Matt Harvey bobblehead night. Wish I could've stayed longer to get all my stuff done but considering the little time I put in there wasn't too bad. Wanted Eddie Rosario but he said he'd sign after BP and didn't have time to wait for that to finish as I needed to get down to the other park. Also wanted Jeremy Bliech but he on and off the field when the pitchers were stretching.

    Trenton

    Aaron Dott 1/1
    Tommy Kahnle 1/1
    Fred Lewis 1/1
    Zach Nuding 1/1
    Mikey O'Brien 2/2..finished triple card w/Venditte & Braboy
    Nik Turley 1/1
    Carmen Angelini 2/2
    Jose Pirela 1/1
    Kyle Roller 1/1
    Casey Stevenson 6/6
    Tyler Austin 2/4, 3/4 (help)
Slade Heathcott 3/3, 2/3 (help)..had to ask for the 3rd

    NB Rockcats

    Chad Allen 6/6
Nick Blackburn 1/1...didn't expect him to be there but since Rochester was in Pawt. I had a Blackburn card lying around
    Trevor May 2/2 program
    Dakotta Watts 2/2
    Josmil Pinto 1/1
    Angel Morales 2/2
    Daniel Ortiz 1/1
    Dan Rohfling 1/1

Got to Norwich 1/2 hour before gates opened at 5:30 and line was probably close to 100 deep for the bobblehead which doesn't seem like much for attendance but for that park it is a lot by the time gates were about to open they had to have an employee to make an announcement to settle the crowd upon entering the park, all 250. They were only giving out bobbleheads to the first 1,000 people and ran out pretty quick, they had Matt Harvey's parents present to throw out first pitch too since Matt obviously couldn't come. With Gavin Cecchini and Juan Urbina not with the team on the DL I decided to just hit the CT dugout for the remaining time before the game got everything I had done and left since my girlfriend wasn't too pleased with how we spent out Saturday afternoon and part of the evening.

    CT Tigers

    Austin Schotts 1/1
Tyler Gibson 4/4..talked with him a bit about Tyler Collins's disdain for him, he joked that he stole his girlfriend
    Julio Felix 6/6
Jonathan Crawford 1/1 SS GU ball w/1st rd pick insc.

    Pawtucket @ Rochester

Hit Rochester just to tie up some odds and ends with them as I had some guys in the 2013 NB set to knock out as well as a decent amount of Liam Hendriks and Chris Collabello on NB program covers was able to get em all done as expected since Rochester is always one of the best signing teams in the league. Also got a pleasant surprise when Dwight Evans showed up so was able to get him too.

    Pawtucket

    Gary Discarcina 1/1
Alfredo Aceves 6/6..guy asked for a pic w/him and put his arm around him and Alfredo proceeded to give him a bear hug and put him in a headlock, funny stuff
    Clayton Mortensen 6/6
    Alberto Rosario 4/4
    Will Middlebrooks 2/2: 8x10 & card
    Drake Britton 2/2
    JC Linares 1/1

Drove to New Britain to see the B-Mets, primarily to get Noah Syndergaard and Miguel Sano and was able to do so no problem. Noah has started to limit now but is still very good about signing and came over whenever asked, pretty quiet guy but definitely more than accommodating. The temperature was between 94-97 all afternoon so I certainly didn’t want to stick around very long and was able to leave 2 hours before the game started so I got everyone I had something for.

    NB
    Pat Dean 3/3
    Trevor May 3/3 programs
Eddie Rosario 0/1…only stopped for 2 people, missed him getting Sano so I’m okay with that
    Miguel Sano 1/1 8x10, 1/2 cards
    Danny Santana 2/2

    B-Mets

Pedro Feliciano 1/1…weird, asked him 1 on 1 he said something in Spanish to me and I ignored him, then another grapher approached him and he stopped to sign so I went over and he looked at me and goes “What you cannot wait” I told him I saw you were signing so I thought to get you now to not bother you again, didn’t seem pleased.

    Cory Mazzoni 1/1
    Jenry Mejia 1/1 (rehab’n)
    Noah Syndergaard 7/11, 4/4…4 8x10s (1 w/’10 1st round pick insc.) 6 cards, & SS ROMLB w/10 1st round pick insc.

    Logan Verrett 2/2
    Blake Forsythe 5/5
    Allan Dykstra 3/3
    Daniel Muno 10/10
    Josh Rodriguez 1/1
    Darrell Ceciliani 4/4
    Cesar Puello 3/3
    Travis Tajeron 3/3

    New York Yankees

Yankees in town for a weekend set and skipped one day of action but went the other 2 and brought the gf along. She got us tickets for my birthday for the Saturday game and inside the park both Mo and Jeter signed a lot but only for the special VIP on field section of the crowd which are very expensive tickets, so it was disappointing not getting anything inside but hey sometimes that’s the way it falls. I got to give it to my girl as she got really good seats several rows up from behind the Yanks dugout. It was 97 degrees game time and really have to give it to her as we stayed the whole game on top of the graphing we did before hand and were rewarded with a Yankee win and getting to see Mo pitch and get the save was great. Got up early and put in another long day today and it paid off, can’t believe how well my gf and I did, with some luck of course but couldn’t ask for much of a better outing, a good number of guys never actually signed all series which is a little rare but hey can’t complain with the results at the end of it all.

Adam Warren 1/1..only one to spot him which isn’t much of an accomplished considering how many times I’ve seen him before

David Cone 2/2: card & SS ROMLB w/Perfect Game date insc.
    Mick Kelleher 2/2
    Mike Harkey 2/5
    Tony Pena 1/1, 1/1 (help)
    Vernon Wells 6/6, 1/1 (help)
    Luis Cruz 1/1, 1/1 (help)
    Boone Logan 1/1
    Chris Stewart 1/1
    Lyle Overbay 1/1
    Joe Girardi 1/1, 1/1 (help)
Derek Jeter 1/1 11x14, 1/1 SI (help), 1/1 SP ROMLB (help), 1/1 SP ROMLB (wouldn’t switch to take my pen but hey he only signed a few so glad to get 1)

    Mariano Rivera 1/1 11x14, 1/1 SI (help)
    Brian Cashman 1/1 8x10

Also got 2 guests of the hotel who were staying there but wasn’t prepared for them so got them on whitesheets:

Robert Duvall 1/1 (was going to ball him but saw how he was signing them and put it away)

    Brian Regan 1/1

    Tampa Rays

Did the Rays coming into the park today didn't see a lot of guys for them as this is a weird team to peg in terms of what some of the players habits are when it comes to getting to the game and they aren't at the best hotel for graphs. Considering Matt Moore was the starter and Longo is out of the question I was pleased getting the other 2 big guns on the team, Price has been rougher this year so was nice to grab him he actually asked the graphers for change to pay for his cab so once he did that I knew he was signing. Anyways not a bad outing with them:

Boston (was on their side of the park for only 10min so no real effort made here)

Ryan Lavarnway 1/1..figures the one guy I see is the one I've gotten countless times

    Tampa

    Wil Myers 1/1 8x10
David Price 1/1 SI...asked him if he could take a pic with after he was done signing and he agreed but someone tried dipping him and he got pissed and blew it off
    Chris Archer 1/1
    Jose Lobaton 1/1
    Ben Zobrist 2/6
    Matt Joyce 1/2

denied by: Longo, McGee, Dez, Rodney & Kelly Johnson

signed but didn't need: Cesar Ramos & Roberto Hernandez/Fausto Carmona

anyone not mentioned I didn't see
