Nothing stopped you from getting all hot and bothered with zero evidence in another, similar case. Consistency isn't for everyone, though the way the races flipped and the fact you aren't screaming about racism does tell me a LOT.

It is interesting to compare the cases because the defendant, Roderick Scott was much more aggressive than Zimmerman and never had a hand laid on him.

The jury still felt he had the right to defend himself because he was being attacked and he was up against three possible assailants.

If the kids turn and run and he shoots them in the back, he'd have no case.

Another tragic story, but a victory for those who feel strongly about the right to defend yourself.

Actually, we don't get mad about anything but the fact that you don't recognize that your responses prove you have no integrity, are a racist who sees nothing but skin colour AND is willing to ignore actual fact, as in the Trayvon thread where you were constantly asking about "facts" you mentioned, but never said what they were. If you had any principle whatsoever, you'd react to this the same way you did to hearing about Zimmerman.

It looks like another case of bad judgement by the gun owner. Once he introduces a gun into the situation he is upping the ante. If they are able to disarm him, he could have died. Therefore self defense is plausible in this case.

ya similarities but lots of differences as well. It wasn't a gated community and he was in no danger as long as he stayed in doors. Inherently, a neighborhood watchemn is always in a certain degree of danger. My gun is sitting right next to me and if some punks were outside breaking into cars no way do I go outside with my gun. I lock all doors, call the cops and keep my eyes open. Not to say I dont hope this guy gets off scott free.
