Are local card shows worth going to anymore?

It's tough overehere in Canada since 95% of all shows I visit focus on hockey. We have a monthly local show that I'll attend 3-4 times to stay in the loop but hardly find basketball deals.

I managed some transactions though (e.g., buying a box of singles and flipping on COMC). One local dealer has a nice basketball collection but tends to charge a tad to much.

I'm aiming for larger shows (like Toronto) to see what's it's like.

Yeah it really depends, but here in Florida, mostly Baseball/Football fanatics, I can't get true value of my collection from there, but I can find good deals on Basketball
