    Your TTM Patterns?

I am sure that I am not the only person in these forums that goes through long droughts of not sending letters. Well I finally got around to getting my first mailing since ST around. I was shocked to find that I am out of postage though! :( I will buy some of that Monday and my first 75 letters in months will go out Tuesday! I do blame it all on you folks, I made the mistake of looking through success threads and got the itch to mail again. Thanks for the inspiration!

I was curious of how others around here do their mailings. I have always been a like 20 to 50 envelopes all once. It used to be my goal to get out like 60 requests a month thinking at 50% return rate I would have a return a day. More mailings than that for things I really get into like sping training. Do you usually try to mail one a day? How about a certain number a week? Are you like me and blow a good number at once? What is your TTM pattern for mailings and how has it worked for you?

I usually send 3 times a year. 1 during spring training, 1 about midseason, and 1 about end of the season.

To me as a dodger fan and usually only mail to current and former dodgers I usually just mail off when I happen to see a random dodger card lying around and then I'll be inspired to look for more cards and also will check current successes for said player within the last 30 days. But also sent to Clayton kershaw last week and realize if I do get it back it won't be till January/February

I drop 20-30 per month, focus on MLB players in spring then trickle in minors during season. I usually end season with a few more mlb players. During off season I focus on retired players from my 87 set or various 50/80's cards. I run about 75% on the year success rate. Most misses are ill timed retired guys and long shot ST. But in season and off season I hit near 80-90% success. I follow trends from previous season and current season to see who signs.

It depends. I sent a lot of cards out during ST before focusing on sending 8x10s out.

I'm an on and offer- I'll send like 5 a day for 3-4 months and stop for a good 3-4 months, looks like I'm slowly getting back...

Mines is kind of sparratic. Right now I am going through my childhood football pc from the junk wax "error" of the 1980s and 1990s and sending a bunch out. That will probably take a while. After I get done with that I have even more baseball cards from that timeframe to send out. I have a few hockey that I will do the same with. I probably wont do a lot of basketball ttm since I go to NBA games all the time and a lot of players who played during that timeframe are now coaches, announces, scouts, etc and often travel witht he teams so I can easily get them in person.

I have only started TTM recently, but here is what I have done:

I usually try to send out around 3-5 a week, usually 1 or 2 a day. I usually just look at the recent successes and go to those guys. I've done a mix of current, retired, and prospects, I guess it just depends on what I am feeling like that day.
