golf tournament tips for autos
anyone have any tips for getting autos? Im going to all 7 days of the PGA next week and could use some advice on getting autographs, particularly what players are good signers and what not. I plan on bringing either a flag or program to get signed by the majority of whoever signs and a mickelson SI and tiger woods "TW" hat on the extremely off chance that he signs. All help is appreciated!

Other than TW, you should be able to get whoever you want the first 3 days of practice. If you try for TW, if you're lucky, he will normally sign the hats (new white Nike) or pairing sheet at the end of his practice round. Normally does not sign anymore than 10-12 if you're in the right spot at the end. However, if I know the group, you will be one of 250 trying to get a graph from him. Phil is very nice and will sign even during the practice rounds (as will all others!).

They tend to sign on the practice days. I've been to the PGA and Sr. PGA championships and we are usually at hole 18 greens and have gotten plenty of signatures.
Phil once told me to shut up in 2000.

They are "all" much more relaxed during the practice rounds and will sign all your items. If you say you have access to all 7 days why would you want to wait until the tournament starts when the rounds count for real & they could be upset?

No way during but some sign after their rounds are completed. Good luck.
