Ellison was discussing his “Inclusive Prosperity Act” measure at the July 25th Progressive Democrats of America roundtable in Washington.

“The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it,” Ellison continued, “The government has a right, the government and the people of the United States have a right to run the programs of the United States. Health, welfare, housing – all these things.”
The “Inclusive Prosperity Act” would levy a sales tax on the trading of stocks, bonds and derivatives.

And I suppose you don't agree with this, since we are talking about progressive.

And you yourself are anti-progressive, correct?

You know there's a word for that.

It's called regressive.

That's actually what the GOP and the Tea Party is all about........Regression.

And that's the biggest reason why I will never compromise with conservatives and GOP leaders.....they have a regression mindset.


They look backwards....I look forward.

If feeding the growing Government with ever more taxes for them to distribute to their favored groups is Progressive, then yeah, I am definitely regressive.

You know what....I'm not going to challenge your position on fiscal matters, because even though I DO disagree with you on it, it doesn't matter to me that much.

The problem is conservatives stance on nearly EVERY SINGLE social issue.

They are on the WRONG side.....they always are.

Throughout history conservatives have been on the wrong side.

They were on the wrong side on slavery, segregation, women's rights, and now more recently gay marriage.


There's a reason for this.

And it's what I alluded to.

Conservatives on their core are regressive in nature.

They do not like change, they like the status quo.....especially if the status quo favors their side, as it has the majority of the time.

Regression is NOT the way a society should go.

It's in the very definition.


However, as much as I've disagreed with conservatives in the past, they have become even MORE strict in their nonsense to drag this country through the mud and take it back to a time where it doesn't belong.

In all seriousness I say the following:


@Conservatives, the year is 2013, not 1950, 60, or even 90.

Get with the times or get left behind.

There's a reason why I call the GOP "Dinosaurs".

Because they are on the brink of extinction.

The country is getting younger and young Americans will NOT tolerate their nonsense.....NOT ONE BIT!

That is why Obama won, even if he hasn't been a great president.....because the alternative is SO much worse.
