I would not send it if that was me. I don't know the value of it, but I assume it is high and with any high value card, getting an auto after it is made hurts the resale value. I wouldn't even get it signed in person.
With mail, there are also other risks:
- Players may sign one year and the next year not
- Could get lost in the mail
- It looks really cool, he might keep it and send you a plain old base card signed
So my answer is no. Too much risk for little (or no, depending on how you look at it) reward.

I've heard about the resale before. Even though that isn't in consideration at this time it could always change 5 or 10 years down the road. I probably should just stick with sending base cards. I would hate myself if I lost the card.

I would not send it either.
Along with the reasons yankeesfan1324 mentioned, sometimes the player switches cards with someone else's TTM by accident. So someone else may get your 1/1.

no way i would send that.. Chances of him keeping it are high. Lot of players collect there own stuff. Hate to see him switch it out for a base card..
IP i would have that signed in a heart beat. that would look awesome signed. May even get it slabbed & authenticated for what thats worth.Last edited by Riggs; 08-10-2013 at 02:48 PM.

I would not send it. There are too many risks that are involved as were stated by the previous post's. He is a very good signer. I don't know if the players themselves open their mail or someone from the club does when sent c/o the team. With it being a 1/1 who's to say that some employee opens it and never forwards it to him. Also you run the risk of someone not handling the card like any of us would want them too. As was stated that would be a great item to get signed in person. The problem is an in-person graph is a crap shoot getting a good sign. I might have it signed at a pay event. I'm no authority on this but signing some cards may make the card less valuable. There are probably many here who could answer that question. Just my .02

Don't do it. Hansboro is a jerk in person so I am very skeptical of anything that he supposedly signs ttm.

I would check to see if you could consign the card to be signed. If there is someone who does NBA IP stuff then I'd ask them about it. Probably the easiest and safest way to get card signed if you truly value card.
