iggy, i think you might be wrong. if he transfers from OSU, he cant even play next year. this year is lost, if he tranfers his transfer year would be next year. this means he couldnt play D-1 until 2005. he could start D-1AA or lower next season. the only reason for this is if he is to play collegiate football again, it only makes sense to go to grambling. transfering to another D-1 school would take until fall 2005 to get on the field, by then he would be eligible for the NFL draft anyway.

The OSU suspension is in house... it's a year suspension from when the transfer goes through so he'd officially have to miss at least the 1st game to wherever he goes.
If you go down a division, you still have to give them a year... if you move up you don't.

all I can say is THANK GOD he got suspended for a year, kick his worthless butt off the team and say good ridance, he's been a huge pain ever since he got here. If Pitt wants him they can have him (although he'd never play a down since he could go pro after his 2 years are up) as for D-2, he won't go to Grambling, the news around here has already reported that if he does the NCAA will look into Doug Williams for tampering (did you see the Clarett jersey at the press conference)...no one wants him, he's not worth the problem...and for a little inside info from Ohio, he already tried to transfer back to his hometown team at Youngstown state and they told him they didn't want him! He'll sit for 2 years, go pro and get drafted in about the 4th round. He screwed himself, no one else to blame

I bet if the Wolfpack would have beat OSU yesterday you'd be singing to a different tune. OSU needed Clarett last week and they will NOT win a championship without him.
