Reminiscent to last year, Topps Inception come with two base cards in every pack. The design is fairly similar to 2012 with the players appearing to be super-imposed on the a bluish background. If you touch the card, the player's photo is slicky and rubbery while the card has a matte finish.

Green /199 (1) - Jermaine Gresham
Yellow /75 (1) - Matt Schaub



There are five parallel levels for the base cards. All boxes should have one Green and the other will be either Purple, Yellow, Red or Blue. You may also find a Printing Plate instead of a second parallel. Outside of the Green, which is numbered to 199, the other parallel will be numbered between 99 to 1. Color level is fairly easy to tell as the background will match the color.

Each box of Inception contains 3 hits that breaks down to 2 autographs of some kind and 1 relic. There is a mix of levels and a variety of types of autos and relics from your standard stand-alone signed card and regular jersey swatch to multi-player signatures and booklets. 20 or so rookies are featured with an NFL Shield 1/1 card. The shield comes from the collar area on the uniform. Booklets include Patch Autographs, Letterman Autographs and Laundry Tag Autographs. Boxes and packs appear to be a better mix than last year, especially when you seem to avoid seeing the same player over and over as a lot of collectors were "cursed" with finding.

Nice review! Dont seem to have the "chipping" issues that last years cards had (or at least not as bad). Love (would love to have) the Patton glove card. Have seen a couple pics of the collar NFL tag cards and they are sharp! Appreciate the break\review for a nice read with the morning coffee.
