Last I knew he was $100 a pop at signings! To get him for free would be amazing!

I can't say I'm a true dr j fan, but knowing what he did in the aba and the nba might make me tempted to go down there and the book would go nicely with my shaq and mike piazza autographed books

I want to go if I think I can get an outside item signed. I went to a Magic Johnson signing at the Grove B&N before. The B&N people had a strict "no outside items" policy. But Magic's people said "1+1" = 1 book + any 1 item. I know Magic is always cool about 1+1. Somehow I don't see that with Dr.J. Yeah, I'd like to see how the other signings go too.

The Barnes & Noble signings I have been to have been very strict, book signing only. This includes Cal Ripken Jr., Phil Jackson, Gabby Douglas, and a couple of others. Heck, I did an Andre Dawson one at Sam's Club, and there were 10 people in line, and he wouldn't sign anything but the book.
The only times I was able to get extra were at an independent bookstore for Kristi Yamaguchi, and a Costco for Jeremy Roenick.
I think that even if he will only sign the book, it's worth going and getting a book or two. Books are about 20 bucks, you can get two, one to read and keep, and one where you can cut the signature out of the book and mount it on your own custom piece, if you are so inclined. It's still a very affordable way to get the signature of a legend.Working on autographed 1987 Topps Baseball set:
