    Patrick Roy RC Authenticity Question

I've had this card for awhile and have always wondered if it was real or not, there is a scan of the front and back of the card in the PC section of my bucket (for some reason I can't get it to link to this thread). I'm hoping that someone here could provide me with some insight about the card. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, are there any things in particular that stand out as being off to you?

there just not many Roys or any card from the 80's that are printed that perfect. there is a few but not many. if its legit its one heck of a roy rookie. would love to get my hands on it. what does the cardboard feel like smooth or alittle ruff?

The front is pretty smooth but the back is rough like a normal vintage card. But your right I always thought the card was a little too good to be true.

I don't know if the "black dot" Roy RCs have in the white border at the top of the card is a be-all-and-end-all, but I don't see it on this one and that raises red flags right away.

That's the first thing I always look for on the OPC rookies aswell, but I'm no expert.

To me all the fake sign show up.

1- No dot on top of the mask in the white border. The real that I saw, all had one.

2- The OPC logo top right, way to different then on the real one less crisp and the yellow is not right, also you see white in the inner border when it should all be yellow.

3- the background spectator on your it's very pixelated, you see many white spot and not on mine.

4- The player name on the bottom the line are not fluid, you see dot and not really a straight line like it should.

To me I am 99% sure this is a fake. Of course it's always better to see it in hand but the scan was good enough to tell.
