Early George Brett Auto
Anyone know the value of an early career(mid 70's), full name, George Brett signature? I've heard that early George Brett autographs, with the full "George", are hard to find.

Does anyone have a mid to late 1970's real auto of George Brett they can show me, with the full name?

I'm not sure if his full name is worth more but I certainly wouldn't pay much a premium for it. I think his autograph now looks just fine and i'd be content with just having it vs. paying extra for something with his full name. That is just my opinion. I am sure a die hard Brett fan might pay a little extra

It depends what you're looking for, if you're looking for the signature on the 1975 rookie card, I don't know he ever really signed much like that if at all, more than likely someone asked him to sign very nicely and he slowed his signature down to make the G look better. There are plenty of signatures with both Gs and the whole first name out there, his signature is pretty consistent.

According to PSA/DNA, George Brett early signatures with the full GEORGE, are hard to find. Here is a link to their article:

Here is an early Brett signature with the full GEORGE:

I have yet to find a modern Brett auto, with that kind of GEORGE. If you can find a modern, or post 1980, Brett auto that looks like that, let me know.

I find two on eBay right now that nearly look identical to that signature and one is uncertified the other PSA. I really only looked at about 50 listings.

OK. Can you post the links to those auctions? Or let me know what the Ebay item numbers are? Thanks.

I'm on my iPad, it's a pain to post links. Expand your searches to include George Brett PSA/DNA or something similar you will find them, found 2 more. There aren't too common, and some sellers are wanting a little bit of $. Look for signatures on older cards from the 70s. One was in sharpie and wasn't the greatest. Found one that was pretty good for like $85 that was PSA I think, probably $40 more than I'd pay, but if that's what you're looking for?

OK, I think I see what you are talking about. That gives me a guesstimate on the price. Thanks for the help.
