    Letang Out Indefinitely

    .

Pens have told the media that he has a Lower Body Injury. Bylsma, says out indefinitely. Lower Body always screams "Knee" when it happens in Hockey, unless it's a Netminder, then possibly a groin.

Pens need this guy, as he has arguably been their best player the last 3 seasons. Tomorrow may bring further news.

Does wearing black and gold just make you more prone to injury or is it my imagination? At least from a A-List caliber player stand point.

Not good news at all. However it opens the door for Olli Maatta. Can not wait to see this guy play!

I feel like Crosby and Malkin, even with whatever injury troubles over the past few seasons, were far more valuable than a D-man who struggles to play defence. They might have a harder time breaking out of their zone, but I can't see missing Letang being a big issue. I was honestly surprised they gave him the big contract. I figured someone would give it to him, but Pittsburgh would have been smarter to fleece some other team.
